SENTRY is ready to protect your systems at all times.

You can sleep well knowing that SENTRY is holding vigilant guard over your information systems 24/7/365. SENTRY's complex security system includes a series of high-resolution security cameras, motion detectors, two-way audio monitoring, restrictive key card locks, and a warning alarm to prevent any unauthorized personnel from stepping foot inside the data center.

The servers themselves are protected by our Remote Environmental Monitoring System (REMS) which detects minor variations in temperature, humidity, door contact, dry contact, vibration, and smoke. REMS delivers periodic reports about this environmental data via E-mail, FTP, and HTTP. This system also communicates with our InRow cooling system to maximize climate control.

Power to the data center is provided by Duke Energy. If a power outage should occur, our battery system instantly takes over. The batteries are capable of maintaining the data center at maximum capacity for several hours, but it is only necessary for them to function for eight seconds – that's the time it takes for our backup generator to come online and take over power responsibilities until standard power is restored.

In the unlikely event of a fire, SENTRY is equipped with Sapphire^® Fire Protection with 3M™ Novec™ 1230 fluid. This non-lethal gas can instantly extinguish any fire in the data center without doing any harm to the information systems stored within.
